GuaBase the agent: who runs it, what it promises, where it falls short

A fair profile of a young agent, built from its own pages and dated, with the cases where you should look elsewhere.

What GuaBase is, in plain terms

GuaBase is a shopping agent that places orders with Chinese sellers for you and sends the goods abroad. You find an item on Taobao or Tmall, or describe it in a purchase request; GuaBase buys it, receives it at its warehouse in Anji, Zhejiang, checks and stores it, packs it with your other items and sends it by SF International. Its own slogan is Shop China, Ship Global, and its home page headline is Shop from China, Follow every step.

The company behind it is GuaBase, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, which runs the service and collects payments. Purchasing and fulfilment support inside China comes from Shanghai Kunqi Travel Consulting Co., Ltd. The Chinese name is 瓜贝, and the logo is a green melon drawn like a shopping bag. The site runs in English and Simplified Chinese.

It is new. The privacy policy took effect on February 21, 2026, the terms of service on August 1, 2026, and its one long guide was published on July 13, 2026.

Why choose GuaBase: a stated purchase fee and a separate freight decision?

Many buying agents offer purchase, warehouse receipt, a basic check and consolidation. GuaBase's distinctive case is how its public documents separate these stages. Its current How It Works page was readable on October 26, 2026: it describes Taobao/Tmall search, manual sourcing requests, a purchasing fee shown before payment and a later freight choice based on the measured parcel.

A small household order with several sellers

Imagine ordering two plain tees and a fabric tote for a combined CNY 240 goods amount. Under the published 5% fee with a CNY 15 minimum, the purchasing fee is CNY 15 because 5% is only CNY 12. If the confirmed goods amount were CNY 400, the fee would be CNY 20. These are hypothetical fee calculations, not current product or shipping quotes. Confirm whether your basket is treated as one order before assuming one minimum applies.

This makes the cost of buying assistance explicit. Separately record each seller's domestic delivery and any payment charge. When the items arrive, review the documented basic check, resolve a wrong option and then compare the completed parcel. The published option to arrange your own forwarder may be useful if you already have a shipping provider; ask about handover and third-party charges before relying on it.

What you gain, and what remains your decision

The buyer gets a purchasing contact, a Chinese receiving point and an opportunity to review the arrival before paying international freight. The buyer still chooses the specification and decides whether the total represents value. GuaBase says photos are attached when useful to document the basic inspection; that is not a promise of a fixed count, authentication, testing or close-ups of every detail.

Use the cost guide for the minimum-fee effect and the consolidation page for the packing decision. A larger order is only sensible if the extra items are wanted and the finished parcel remains economical. Spending more solely to reduce a fee percentage can increase the total bill.

Orders that belong with a different agent

Being honest about the gaps is what makes the rest of this profile worth reading. Here is when to use a different agent and leave GuaBase for later:

  • you want PayPal or a local wallet at checkout; GuaBase lists Stripe Checkout only;
  • you want many budget air, sea or rail lines; GuaBase's integrated freight is SF International;
  • your finds are mostly on Weidian or 1688 and you want them searchable, not handled by request;
  • you want a fixed number of free QC photos, or a priced detailed-photo service;
  • you want years of buyer reports before you trust an agent with money.

Trust checks for any agent, applied to GuaBase

Choosing an agent you can trust comes down to things you can verify in an evening, not to promises. Here is how GuaBase measured up when we read its pages on October 22, 2026:

CheckWhat we found
A named companyYes: GuaBase, LLC in Delaware, with a named China-side partner. No street address is published.
A written fee ruleYes, with the minimum and what it is calculated on.
Refund rules by stageYes, plus scenarios such as out of stock, price changes and items that cannot ship.
Reachable supportTickets, WhatsApp and [email protected], 10:00 to 19:00 UTC+8, reply target one business day.

A stance on infringing goodsStated: it cannot handle prohibited, infringing, unsafe or platform-restricted products.
Track recordShort. Terms date from August 2026, the announcements page was empty, and a Reddit search found no threads about it.

Seven solid answers and one honest unknown. For a first order, that argues for starting small.

The same listing can usually be bought through more than one agent. What differs is the rulebook around it.

Agents you will meet besides GuaBase

You will see other agents named on forums and finds pages. The useful differences between them are rarely the logo:

  • Fee model. A percentage with a floor like GuaBase, a flat fee per item, or a low headline fee with more of the margin in freight.
  • Platforms. Some search Weidian, 1688 or second-hand apps directly.
  • Freight. One integrated carrier, or a long menu of lines.
  • Photos and storage. A set photo count or none, and free storage periods that vary from agent to agent.

Ask every agent the trust questions above. The answers decide more than the brand.
