What each GuaBase payment covers, with a calculator for both

Two payments, one fee formula, one published exchange rate and a handful of charges that are never GuaBase's. All of it in the order you meet it.

Every charge on a GuaBase order, in order of appearance

GuaBase's pricing pages describe the cost breakdown the same way each time: item cost, the purchasing service fee and shipping are separate lines, and third-party charges are called out rather than folded in. Here is where each one lands on your timeline.

ChargeWhenHow it is set
Item costFirst paymentThe listing price with no GuaBase markup. Marketplace promos tied to one account can make it differ slightly; the final cost is confirmed at purchase.
Seller domestic shippingFirst paymentWhatever the seller charges to post to the Anji warehouse.
GuaBase service feeFirst payment5% of item cost, minimum CNY 15 per order, on item cost only. The page data behind GuaBase's site stores it as 500 basis points with a floor of 1,500 fen.
Warehouse check and storageNo chargeBasic inspection is free; storage is free for up to ninety days after arrival.
Packaging extrasBefore the parcel is sealedPackage Reinforcement and vacuum compression are named on the site, with no public price. Ask first.
International freightSecond paymentCarrier-published rate for the chargeable weight, plus carrier surcharges such as fuel or remote area.
Card or bank feesEither paymentSet by your bank or card issuer. GuaBase adds no Stripe handling fee of its own.
Duties and taxesAt deliverySet by your country's customs and collected from the recipient.

The checkout text on GuaBase's site also carries a line called GuaBase Service Fee Discount for a first order. No public page says how much it is or who qualifies, so we do not count on it here.

The rate table both GuaBase payments convert through

Everything at GuaBase is priced in yuan first. For payment, the amount is converted from CNY to USD and Stripe Checkout charges in dollars; with Stripe's Adaptive Pricing you may see the total in your local currency instead. The rate comes from OpenExchangeRates, GuaBase stores it every hour, shows the update time, and says it adds no hidden spread. A page at /exchange-rates keeps a rolling ninety-day history.

When we read it on October 22, 2026, the reference was 1 USD to 6.6776 CNY, updated at 01:00 that morning; the 23:00 entry the night before read 6.6767. A difference that small moves a CNY 451 payment by well under a cent, so the rate is rarely the part of the bill worth worrying about. Your bank's own card fees can matter more.

Two-payment calculator

How to use the fee calculator: enter the total item cost and the seller's shipping in yuan to see the service fee and the first payment, then the carton size and scale weight to see what the freight will be billed on. The rate box starts at the October 22, 2026 reference; change it to today's figure from GuaBase's rate page. It does not quote freight prices, because GuaBase only publishes those through its own estimator.

First payment
Parcel size and weight
Service feeCNY 15.00
First paymentCNY 140.00
First payment in dollarsabout USD 20.97
Volumetric weight4.80 kg
Chargeable weight4.80 kg

The starting values are the three-tee order from handoff one and a 40 × 30 × 20 cm carton that weighs 2.1 kg on the scale. That carton is billed as 4.8 kg, more than twice what it weighs, which is the whole case for the packing choices on the consolidation page.

Four habits that keep a GuaBase total down

  1. Compare the minimum fee per order. In a hypothetical pair of separate CNY 100 orders, each 5% calculation is below CNY 15, so the service fees total CNY 30. If those same goods can be purchased in one CNY 200 order, the formula gives CNY 15. Confirm the actual order grouping; sharing a later shipping carton is not the same as merging the original purchase orders.
  2. Measure honestly. Give the estimator real dimensions; a quote on weight alone flatters a bulky parcel.
  3. Plan storage around an actual next purchase and the account deadline. Waiting may let compatible goods share a carton, but it also delays delivery and can change the packed size or route. Compare the final parcel on the consolidation page; free storage is not a reason to buy fillers.
  4. Pick Economy when it can wait. GuaBase prices it lower than Express for seven to twenty business days instead of five to ten.
